Abstract

Efficient information management is a fundamental element for the functioning of organizations in digital environments. In this context, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems enable the integration of processes, the optimization of data management, and the strengthening of organizational coordination. This study analyzes the operation of the SAP system at the company AGRIPAC, located in the Daule canton, with the aim of determining its contribution to digital information management and the utilization of its functionalities.

The research adopted a descriptive approach and a non-experimental design. The study population consisted of employees who use the SAP system in the course of their work activities. Data collection involved structured surveys and technical observation, aimed at identifying the system's usage level and its impact on information management processes.

The results demonstrated that SAP contributes positively to administrative processes, information organization, and the reliability of the data used by the organization. However, limitations were identified regarding some users' technical proficiency with the system, as well as the absence of formal training programs.

It is concluded that SAP serves as a strategic tool for digital information management and the optimization of organizational processes. Nevertheless, to fully leverage its functionalities, it is necessary to strengthen staff technical skills and promote continuous training initiatives to improve system usage.
